Comprehensive Guide to Samsung CPID IMEI Repair Instructions

This guide outlines essential instructions, guidelines, and protocols to be followed diligently before initiating any Samsung device repair service related to IMEI and CPID issues.

Important Device Restrictions

Mexican Operator Lock (MXO)

For devices locked to Mexican carriers, it’s important to note that these operators have implemented an advanced MDM-style lock. Even if the unlocking process seems successful, the device may relock within minutes of rebooting. Therefore, do not order services for this device as it is no longer supported.

JDM/MTK Devices

If your device has previously been unlocked and you attempt to request a new unlocking process, please be aware that refunds cannot be issued once the job is completed. Additionally, if offline tools have been utilized on JDM/MTK devices, and the phone subsequently prompts for a code, or if there are issues with the EFS, refrain from submitting an unlock request. Again, do not order services for this device as it is no longer supported.

Pre-Check Before Repair

Before proceeding with any repair or unlocking service, ensure the device is not locked by device services, payment services, KG, or MDM. If there has been any tampering with the device’s EFS, do not order this device as it is no longer supported.

Check Device/Payment Services:

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Go to About Device
  3. Select Status Information
  4. If you see “Device or Payment Services,” the phone is KG locked. Do not process repairs or unlock.

Radio State Check

To verify the operational status of the device:

  1. Insert a SIM card from a different carrier.
  2. Go to Settings > About Device > Status Information > SIM Card Status > Service State
  3. If it indicates “Radio Off,” this means the radio is damaged—do not process repair or unlock.

MIPI Fail Check

  1. Dial ***#0011#** to check for MIPI status.
  2. If it shows “MIPI Fail,” this indicates possible hardware damage—do not process further.

T-Mobile/Metro Device Checks

T-Mobile and Metro devices are now integrated within a verification database. A device that hasn’t been paid off will not work on T-Mobile or its MVNOs even after being unlocked using the CPID server tool. Always verify the device status directly on the T-Mobile website before processing.

If the search result on the T-Mobile site reads: “We can’t confirm that this device is unblocked. Please contact the original wireless carrier for information about the device’s status,” this device will not work on T-Mobile.

Preparing Your Samsung Device for CPID Server IMEI Repair or Unlock

1. Verify Internet Connection

Ensure your PC's internet connection is robust by conducting a speed test at speedtest.net. Share the result link with us.
Requirements:

  • Minimum Upload Speed: 20 Mbps
  • Minimum Download Speed: 20 Mbps

If your speeds fall below this threshold, please improve your connection for an optimal experience.

2. Information Submission

Communicate vital information to customer service via live chat, including:

  • PC IP (found via ping.eu)
  • Device Model Number (e.g. SM-S918U)
  • Device Serial Number (e.g. RFCT80XXXXX)
  • Service Requested (either UNLOCK or IMEI REPAIR)

For IMEI repair, please provide two new IMEI numbers that will be added to your device. Ensure these IMEIs are clean and free from historical issues, as any errors can have irreversible consequences.

3. Configure Your Device and PC Properly

Follow these steps:

Restart Your Computer

  • Ensure no other ADB tools are running.
  • Reboot your PC for a fresh start.

Prepare Your Phone

  • Remove the SIM card and eSIM.
  • Disable Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure no pending updates exist to prevent restarts.

Enable MTP + ADB

  1. Turn on USB debugging.
  2. Dial ***#0808#** and select MTP + ADB or MTP.

Check USB Connectivity

  • Use the original charging cable to connect your phone.
  • Ensure the phone is correctly detected in Windows Device Manager without any driver issues.

Eliminate Lock Screen Issues:

  • Remove any lock screen or password.
  • Ensure the phone’s lock screen is set to “None.”

Screen Saver Settings:

  • Set the screen saver duration to 10 minutes.

Important Note: Once the repair job commences, ensure the phone remains connected and undisturbed until instructed otherwise.

The entire process typically lasts between 10 to 20 minutes, but may extend up to 24 hours due to server availability. Therefore, please be aware that once initiated, the process cannot be canceled.

No Refund Policy

Please be advised that no refunds will be granted once the job has been completed, including in cases of device tampering or any server-related delays. Your full understanding and adherence to these guidelines are crucial for a successful repair or unlock experience.
